The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. The role includes signing leases, acting as a landlord for property owners, and handling clerical tasks such as processing initial housing applications, rent collection, occupancy monitoring, and re‑certification of assisted‑housing tenants.
Leasing Associates manage daily leasing activities, ensure model and target apartments are ready for showings, handle lease documentation and deposits, and work to keep residents satisfied while staying knowledgeable about market conditions and housing policies.
Qualified candidates should have at least one year of tax‑credit housing experience, a background in property leasing, sales, or customer service, and familiarity with HUD rules and low‑income housing programs. Strong follow‑up skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and OneSite experience are preferred. Physical requirements include extended sitting, occasional stair climbing, lifting up to 20 lb, and the ability to read documents and use mobile devices.
The position is primarily on‑site in an office setting, with occasional outdoor work that may involve exposure to the elements. The office environment is open, with bright lights and background noise. Employment is contingent on a successful background check, a valid driver’s license, and participation in E‑Verify.
