Description

The role manages tower‑based activities such as fixed assets and general ledger processing that generate legal‑entity statements and statutory reports for a region covering multiple business units. It coordinates and assigns work to analysts to meet monthly cycles and ad‑hoc requirements, monitors GBS performance, and serves as the linking pin to plant and site controllers.

Key accountabilities include overseeing complex, judgment‑based accounting tasks, consolidating legal‑entity statements, preparing accounting documentation, and acting as the primary contact for the business on IFRS and local GAAP matters. The incumbent drives compliance with global accounting rules, standardises balance‑sheet reconciliations, conducts final reviews, and ensures quality in month‑end closing.

• Coordinate and assign analyst work to meet monthly cycle and ad‑hoc requirements.
• Monitor GBS service delivery, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end close processes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS and local GAAP; ensure compliance with global accounting rules.
• Drive standardisation, quality reviews, and continuous‑improvement projects for reconciliations and reporting.
• Supervise, develop, and delegate tasks to a team of analysts, creating performance and development plans.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least ten years of accounting and financial‑reporting experience, preferably across several business units, and hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CA, CMA or equivalent preferred). Required expertise covers IFRS, ERP systems (SAP/MFGPRO), consolidation tools (HFM), and advanced Microsoft Office skills, together with strong communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management abilities.

• 10+ years of accounting/financial reporting experience; CA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, SAP/MFGPRO, HFM consolidation, and advanced Excel.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, meet tight deadlines, and drive process improvements.
• Prior team‑lead experience in accounting, with skills to plan, coordinate, and engage team members.
