Communicate the repairs and level of action required to direct supervisor,
Repair various pieces of heavy equipment including, but not limited to heavy-duty truck and semi-tractors, material spreaders, 6-wheel drive military type vehicles, excavators, hydraulic drive systems, high pressure hydraulics, 25 ton and smaller bulldozers, graders, trailers, backhoes, skid steers, tractors, vac trucks, street sweepers, aerial towers, man lifts, airport and highway snow removal equipment:
Inspect all equipment repairs and maintenance prior to delivering equipment to customer.
Help maintain a safe work environment and bring safety issues to the branch supervisor’s attention.
Handle customer complaints timely and according to the Company’s guidelines.
Provide technical assistance to customers both in person, and over the phone.
Reach out to equipment manufacturers’ technicians when technical information is required to make repairs.
Participate in required Company and equipment training.
Installation of parts and repair documentation on work order(s),
Evaluate the extent of all equipment repairs and level of action required,
Receive repair orders from shop supervisor; discuss concerns and turnaround expectations,
Research parts needed for repairs,

Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
Ability to maintain skills as technology advances.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.

Familiarity with hazardous waste regulations.
Ability to be a team player.
Ability, knowledge, and agility necessary to complete installations and/or repairs.
Two years’ minimum of progressive experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Ability to use diagnostic scanners and electronic tools.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Strong knowledge and experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment as well as gas and diesel vehicles.
Exceptional time management skills.
Welding certification preferred.
Ability to do business ethically with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to be detail oriented; superior organizational, follow-up, and records maintenance skills.
Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Valid State Driver’s License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Yukon Equipment’s Driving Policy; Class A CDL preferred.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.
Ability to use a standard computer or laptop and working knowledge of standard business software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office); ability to learn new applications.
Ability to travel to remote areas to perform trade.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate data.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Vocational education or technical training in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technology preferred.
