Participating in the development and management of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), erosion, and dust control measures for each project.
Assisting in civil engineering feature design for a large-scale solar generation facilities including grading design, access roads, attachment means, and modifications to support structures.
Reviewing and interpreting Geotechnical Reports as well as Wetland Delineation Reports to support cost-effective solar facility deployment.
Collaborating with the electrical engineering team on coordinating and optimizing array layouts across different topographical or site constraints.
Researching and recommending how to meet DOT, utility, storm water, and erosion control requirements for various state/county AHJs.
Interpreting, understanding, and explaining project documentation with a focus on fulfilling all the permit and site requirements via a value driven design focus.
Completing redlines based on reviews from Engineers, Developers and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Producing cut/fill plans and quantities using AutoCAD Civil3d or similar program(s) to ensure the solar facility meets the maximum mounting system slope tolerance and optimizes foundation material expenses.
Site grading and drainage calculations, plan preparation, site hydrology calculations, and developing draft reports to be reviewed before final submittals.
Formatting construction plansets and maintaining AutoCAD template files and standards.

Hands-on surveying experience is preferred.
Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain. Position requires frequent travel, up to 1-2 weeks per month or about 20% of working time; must carry an active driver's license with acceptable driving record.
BS Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Experience with MIDS/P8/Winslam preferred, but not required.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
Keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
HEC-RAS or Flo2D modeling experience preferred, but not required.
A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with Google Earth or other mapping/GIS tools, as well as the use of online and public resources such as federal/state/county databases.
EIT Certification with preference for candidates who are pursuing a Professional Engineering license.
3+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
