Create and evolve system designs from concept to final construction document phase.
Review, understand, and apply local, state and federal codes and standards related to the design and construction of project facilities.
Perform analyses and apply problem solving techniques to develop creative, innovative solutions.
Assist field staff, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers to ensure compliance with specifications and design during construction.
Mentor other professionals within the MEP department.
Design complicated and various types of electrical systems utilized within the respective markets listed above.

Knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, telephone/data, and other low voltage systems (paging, nurse call, etc.).
Ability to develop written specifications in AIA MasterSpec and SpecsIntact formats is preferred but not required.
Professional credentials (e.g., RCDD, LEED, WELL) are preferred but not required.
Ability to manage deadline-driven workload and work on multiple projects.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical design.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Must be able to follow and properly apply market specific guidelines, the practices and policies of the associated local and building codes, discipline, divisions and firm.
Required systems and software expertise include Autodesk products (i.e., AutoCAD and Revit), power analysis software such as EasyPower and SKM, and lighting photometric calculation software such as Visual.
Demonstrated ability to manage and design independently with minimal supervision on projects from the beginning to the end.
Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program.
Proficient with the most current version of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
