The Senior Project Controls Engineer will support both bid pursuits and live project delivery on complex engineering and construction programmes. The role is responsible for improving project predictability, commercial discipline, and governance across the lifecycle, working closely with bid managers, planners, commercial teams, and project managers.
- Prepare proposal schedules, including time‑based and resource‑loaded programmes aligned with bid strategies.
- Review, validate, and advise on commercial terms to meet RFP requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with bid managers, planners, and commercial teams to integrate programme, cost, and risk assumptions into bids.
- Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) for planning and cost control.
- Create and update detailed Primavera P6 schedules, including baselines, progress measurement, and forecasts.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques for progress monitoring and performance measurement.
- Establish cost baselines, monitor costs, analyze variances, and forecast financial performance.
- Track unbilled accounts receivable to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and coordinate corrective actions.
- Assist in finalising intercompany and subcontract agreements in line with governance procedures.
- Prepare and update Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts and support monthly reviews with project managers.
- Produce concise status reports on schedule, cost, cash flow, and risks for internal and external stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of project controls experience on large, complex capital programmes (5 years exceptional).
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
- Strong expertise in PMO environments, governance frameworks, and earned value management.
- In‑depth knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and commissioning.
- International project experience with GCC exposure preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, cost/risk tools, Power BI, and PMIS.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, process optimisation, and talent development.
- Ability to operate strategically and in detail in a fast‑paced environment.
