Building Energy Analyst

Description

• Support site walks and onsite data collection.
• Perform building operations analysis, including calculations using Excel spreadsheets, and utility calculation tools.
• Support analysis that drive optimization of energy, emissions and energy performance and customer implementation. Implementation of energy education and behavior sustainability program outreach to K-12 school and university clients.
• Support data analysis and system troubleshooting to drive savings and optimization of mechanical, control, water, wastewater, envelope, solid waste, irrigation, and lighting systems.
• Present program progress, energy savings to stakeholder groups of 5-150.
• Support the identification, implementation, and engagement of building occupants on opportunities for increasing energy awareness, environmental stewardship, and utility cost reduction strategies.
• Create basic documentation for client reports.
• Support a social context that leads to energy- and resource-conserving behavior; deliver credible, understandable messages that influence beliefs and encourage habit change.

Requirements

• Energy Management and Sustainability Professional designations are a plus but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communications experience desired.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) professional certification is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Education, Technical Communications or equivalent field of study or equivalent work experience required.
• Data analysis skills desired.
• Self-starter, ability to be productive independently with direction.
• Knowledge and experience in energy conservation, energy efficiency, sustainability principles, and HVAC preferred.
• Creative, problem-solver with a customer service mindset.
• Open to learning about energy efficiency and management.
