Kimley‑Horn is looking for a motivated Roadway Practice Lead to expand its Roadway practice in Portland, OR. This role offers the chance to drive impactful projects, build strong client relationships, and shape local, regional, and federal infrastructure while providing leadership, autonomy, and ownership opportunities.
The ideal candidate has at least 15 years of experience in roadway/highway/complete‑street planning and engineering, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (PE preferred), and strong project management, communication, and leadership skills. Experience in business development, marketing, and strategic planning to expand practice areas is also required.
- Minimum 15+ years experience in roadway/highway/complete‑street planning and engineering with proven complex project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience fostering a positive work environment.
