In this role you’ll partner with customers and engineers to ensure automation projects run smoothly, conducting necessary checks, testing, and troubleshooting on-site while keeping everyone informed of progress.
We are opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem-solvers who love travel and hands-on work. Our four-week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals with a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. If you thrive on fixing complex problems, can laugh through flight delays, and enjoy being known by name, this role may be a perfect fit. Success in training is essential, and those new to the core technical areas may not be ready yet. We value transparency and aim to match the right talent with the right opportunity.
The role requires you to live within 50 miles of a major airport, have a personal vehicle available within 45 days, and be authorized to work in the U.S. A technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience (3+ years) in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering is required, along with adaptability, grit, and strong problem‑solving skills. Physical duties include walking long distances, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in varied environments; reasonable accommodations are provided as needed.
At ProAutomated, you’ll join a smaller, people-first company where teamwork, adaptability, and humor are everyday cornerstones. Leaders have risen through the ranks, so your manager truly understands the work you do. We hold each other to high standards, celebrate growth, and foster a community where everyone has each other’s back.
The role offers a blend of work and travel, letting you experience new cities while tackling unique automation projects across North America. Rotating schedules such as 5-on/2-off, 10-on/4-off, or 14-on/7-off keep the work dynamic, and you’ll receive travel rewards, per-diem, mileage reimbursement, and various bonuses. The position provides a starting salary of $60,000–$75,000, with merit raises, a 5% increase after six months, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, life insurance, a matching 401(k), disability coverage, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months.
