Description

The Fire Officer – Property and Asset Management role oversees fire safety at the site, using assigned apparatus and following the command structure for fire suppression and related emergency services.

Key duties include preparing and executing fire and life‑safety evacuation drills and trainings, conducting rescue, firefighting and salvage operations, securing structures to prevent rekindling, maintaining equipment inventories and incident reports, and liaising with government authorities for NOC renewals.

• Set up fire apparatus upon arrival at a fire scene.
• Dispatch and accompany the Emergency Response Team.
• Plan and conduct fire and life‑safety evacuation drills and training for occupants.
• Execute rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations during incidents.
• Identify and rescue trapped individuals using established procedures.
• Conduct periodic lift evacuation and rescue drills.
• Secure affected structures to prevent rekindling.
• Inventory and record all equipment after suppression and complete incident reports.
• Participate in pre‑fire planning studies and maintain updated fire plans.
• Liaise with government authorities for periodic NOC renewals.
• Maintain fire equipment maintenance checklists and training records.
• Report incidents to the Fire Safety Manager or Property Manager.
• Work 48 hours per week on‑site in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Requirements

The Fire Officer reports to the Fire Safety Manager or Property Manager, and must be analytical and meticulous to ensure all fire and life‑safety systems function effectively and to determine appropriate fire equipment requirements.

Qualifications required are a Diploma or Degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety, 3‑5 years of relevant experience, and solid knowledge of current fire suppression techniques and emergency medical services.
