Assistant Project Manager (Industrial)

Description

• Support project scheduling, cost tracking, budget management, and resource allocation to keep projects on track and within budget.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency, communication, and project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of accountability and safe practices on-site.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing industrial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Participate in pre-construction planning meetings, design reviews, and site inspections to support proactive decision-making.
• Assist in identifying potential project risks and propose effective solutions to prevent schedule delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
• Monitor construction progress on-site; identify potential delays or issues and communicate updates to the Project Manager and leadership team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and milestones.
• Support the Project Manager in client, architect, and engineer communications, providing updates and assisting in resolving field issues.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily logs, and progress reports.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support industrial construction projects in the Dallas area. This role is ideal for a construction professional with hands-on experience who is eager to grow into a leadership position, particularly in industrial construction including tilt-wall projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, or similar platforms.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial construction; experience with tilt-wall construction is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
