The Maintenance Technician at Langara, part of Cushman & Wakefield, is responsible for delivering quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, and prompt service. This role supports residents’ service needs and upholds superior customer service standards.
Key duties include preparing make‑ready apartments—painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general upkeep—responding to resident requests promptly, and performing routine maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal. The technician also maintains grounds, pools, common areas, and dog park amenities, and may be on call for after‑hour emergencies. Reporting of maintenance concerns and executing scheduled work are performed under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Required competencies include a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 certification (minimum Type II) and any local CPO certificate, as well as the ability to read policies, compute basic ratios, and follow safety procedures. The technician must possess common‑sense problem‑solving skills, basic math abilities, and the capability to write routine reports.
Applicants need a high school diploma, GED, or trade/technical education, and at least one year of related experience. The role operates in an office environment with standard equipment and involves regular travel between properties, often in varying weather conditions, and demands physical activity such as standing, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 100 lb.
Compensation ranges from $23.80 to $28.00 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, retirement, and paid time off.
