Uses various hand tooling while performing crate assembly operations efficiently in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Collect supplies for assembly; conduct Inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and resupply as needed
Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds using mechanical equipment
Follows safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required
Operates machinery that takes in low-grade softwood planks and nails them together according to specific patterns and standards.
Maintains equipment and work areas; cleans and performs basic repairs as needed.
Regularly use hand-eye coordination, grasp, manipulate, and reach with hands and arms.
Works with peers to Identify product defects and report necessary nonconformances to Senior Production Associate, Supervisor, and/or Quality Inspector
Notify supervisor when materials need to be reordered
Regularly stand, walk, and may sit for extended periods of time
Assembles and refurbishes wood crates/pallets that are used in storage, shipping, and manipulation of goods adhering to engineered and quality standards, while inspecting finished pallets to ensure conformity to specification.
Works with peers to coordinate movement assembled parts and/or products to the next step operation

Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse, construction, or wood working environment
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (i.e., ability to wear required PPE, work in a dusty, hot, non-climate-controlled environment; with stairs, frequent walking, standing and occasional lifting of material).
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Regularly required to talk or hear
Plant Environment - This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty/dirty conditions. Where applicable PPE is required. PPE includes hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.
Communication and people skills; team player willing to learn.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in core production roles within 90 days of hire.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
CPR & First Aid Certification a plus
Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
Full knowledge of measuring tools required must know how to read and interpret blueprints and/or shop drawings and have a working knowledge of measuring tools (such as: angle finders, tape measures, etc.).
Possess basic arithmetic skills
Ability to work off shift hours in support of plant initiatives.
OSHA Forklift Certification a plus
Proficiency with hand power tools and machinery (hammer, wrenches, crow bars, impact drivers, pneumatic nail gun, staples guns, and electric saws).
Cal OSHA 10 a plus
