The technologist will facilitate virtual‑reality design reviews, manage engineering projects with financial reporting, coordinate release of standard enclosure designs, and participate in design‑review and VDRA processes. Responsibilities also include sourcing components, supporting validation testing, documenting process flows, managing pricing arrangements, ordering parts, and providing technical support to sales and production teams.
- Facilitate VR design reviews using enclosure models.
- Plan and manage engineering projects with monthly financial reporting for North America and Rest of World.
- Coordinate release of engineering designs for standard enclosed genset solutions, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and VDRA processes to verify manufacturability and quality for new product development and custom orders.
- Source components and assemblies, support validation testing, and document engineering process flows.
- Manage pricelists, E‑models, and pricing arrangements for options.
- Order parts and issue purchase orders as required.
- Provide technical support to sales teams and global production facilities, including third‑party packagers.
- Identify and implement cost‑reduction and quality‑improvement opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, dealers/customers, and other departments.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget.

Successful candidates possess a bachelor’s degree and experience in engine design, enclosure electrical layout, and genset controller development, along with knowledge of UL and NEC electrical codes. Proficiency in CAD tools such as ProE/Creo and AutoCAD Electrical, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
The position is based in Lafayette, IN, requires five days on‑site work per week, and may involve up to 20 % travel. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not offered.
