Have a minimum of 20 years relevant experience in the design/delivery of MEICA design services ideally in the water, gas and power industry.
Specialist technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and ICA design.
Specialist technical knowledge of water and wastewater pipeline and pumping station design, including surge analysis.
Proficiency in relevant engineering design packages.
Have a proven ability to deliver project and tasks to a high quality, on time and within budget.
Aptitude to work independently to support effective and timely delivery of projects.
Diligent, professional and organised approach to work delivery.;
Have a Level 8 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. A post graduate Level 9 Masters would be advantageous.
Competence intechnical team development and the application of best-practice principles and concepts to engineer innovative solutions for clients.
Competence in collaboratingon multi-disciplinary projects with engineering, planning and environmental professionals.
Competence in the economic appraisal of projects and plans. Experience of using CBA and MCA techniques would be beneficial.
Have the ability to lead and motivate.
Have analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose problems and identify and recommend solutions.
Excellent IT skills, familiar with relevant computer applications; MS Office

Be a Chartered Engineer with a professional body such as Engineers Ireland.
Have proven track record of design delivery
Have the ability to plan, manage and prioritise own workload.
Be able to produce high quality reports, presentations and deliverables to clearly communicate complex issues, demonstrate logically analysis and provide robust justification design decisions and statements made.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
Be project focussed, proactive and independent, and able to provide a supporting project management role.
