Workshop Supervisor

Description

• Collaborate with the purchasing/stores team for parts and supply chain support.
• Promote safety and housekeeping within the team.
• Support and develop team performance and apprentice progress.
• Get hands-on with urgent on-site repairs when necessary
• Supervise team productivity and adherence to KPIs.
• Manage work allocation and adjust schedules based on priorities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service department procedures.
• Ensure the workshop is organised and safe, maintaining adequate tools and work areas.

Requirements

• Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks independently.
• Recent supervisory experience in a similar industry would be desirable but candidates with considerable relevant experience will also be considered
• Ability to handle challenging situations confidently and calmly.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Hands-on experience in an engineering or service environment.
• 3rd level Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served mechanic/electrician.
• IT literacy including MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
