Coordinate with design engineers to resolve structural issues encountered during tunnel construction.
Supervise TBM activities, including annular gap grouting, ring installation, greasing, and maintenance.
Monitor and oversee Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations, ensuring excavation aligns with approved project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for the Resident Engineer.
Ensure safe TBM operations, particularly under main roads, near adjacent buildings, and in critical zones.
Work closely with contractors to manage scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking for tunnel construction.
Ensure the correctness and completeness of as-built drawings and oversee the handover of tunnel works to service authorities.
Review TBM parameters (e.g., face pressure, grout injection pressure, TBM software applications) to identify and mitigate risks during machine advancement.
Review shop drawings, method statements, and design proposals related to tunnel works, and prepare responses for the Resident Engineer's review.
Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising the construction of rail tunnels, underground structures, and associated works.
Maintain accurate daily diaries and reports prepared by inspectors.
Verify and measure completed work, record progress, and assist in comparing progress against the project schedule.
Ensure adherence to rail project safety goals and oversee the implementation of safety procedures specific to tunneling works.
Provide technical guidance to construction teams to ensure compliance with rail project quality standards and safety objectives.
Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, I&M teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and risk mitigation during TBM operations.
Convene and lead meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and service authorities to address construction-related issues.

Proficiency in engineering and construction-related software tools.
Familiarity with UAE/GCC regulations related to tunnel construction and infrastructure projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
