Commercial Garage Door and Gate Technician (San Diego)

Description

• Assist with special projects or emergency service calls as assigned by the Branch Manager.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections on doors, gates, and related components.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding work performed and system functionality.
• Keep service vehicle stocked, organized, and in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and time records.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams for accurate installations.
• Perform advanced installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial garage doors, gates, and operator systems.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and participate in required safety training.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to doors and gates.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial garage doors and gates.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical aspects of projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
