This role leads the global vision and strategy for datacenter solutions, shaping the long‑term growth of a strategic market segment. It drives innovation by turning emerging customer needs into differentiated offerings and scalable business models, acting as a catalyst between technology, product, and regional teams to accelerate worldwide adoption.
Key responsibilities include designing and leading an end‑to‑end global strategy that aligns with corporate objectives, identifying market trends and technology opportunities, and collaborating closely with Product and Technology teams to prototype innovative solutions. The role also translates technical capabilities into compelling value propositions, engages early with key customers for insight and concept validation, and builds strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to champion new offerings. Pilot initiatives are led in selected regions, refined, and then transitioned to scalable deployments with operational readiness oversight.
Candidates must have 15+ years of experience in data center, critical power, electrical distribution, or complex infrastructure solution roles, with deep expertise in designing medium‑voltage and low‑voltage electrical systems within data halls. A strong understanding of datacenter electrical architecture—including UPS systems, MV/LV distribution, switchgear, power protection, backup generation, and high‑density loads—is required, as is experience operating in a large, global, matrixed enterprise and influencing across engineering, product, commercial, and multiple P&L teams.
Required skills and attributes include a solid electrical engineering foundation to convert customer requirements into engineering work packages, executive presence for senior‑level internal and customer meetings, and exceptional collaboration abilities to align multiple Centers of Excellence. The candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking with a 2–5 year horizon, strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, a “One Team” mindset, and comfort navigating politically complex, fast‑moving environments with ambiguity.
The compensation range for U.S. based candidates is $200,000–$300,000, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, a 401(k) plan with company matching, tuition and adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, twelve paid holidays, permissive time off, and relocation assistance. This is a remote‑eligible position, and GE Vernova is an equal‑opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion.
