Service technicians diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems, perform preventative maintenance, respond to emergency calls, and keep tools and job sites clean. Installers read blueprints, install ductwork and equipment, collaborate with project teams and clients, and work on new‑build and retrofit projects. Applicants may indicate a preference for service, installation, or both.
Encon Heating & AC is hiring Connecticut HVAC technicians and installers. Candidates must hold a Connecticut trade‑licensed journeyman license (D1, D2, S1, S2, S10, SM2, or S4). Qualified hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
Candidates must possess a valid Connecticut D1, D2, S1, S2, S10, S4 or SM2 trade license, strong communication and problem‑solving abilities, experience reading schematics or blueprints, a professional attitude, and basic computer skills including email. A valid driver’s license is required, and employment/education will be verified. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full‑time and agree to pre‑employment drug testing.
The role requires the ability to work safely in extreme weather, confined spaces, and at heights, and to lift up to 50 pounds while bending, crawling, stooping, stretching, or walking on uneven surfaces.
