The Construction Technician I in our Concord, CA office will perform hands‑on field activities that protect soil and water resources on construction and recovery projects. Working closely with field crews and project managers, the technician ensures regulatory compliance, safety, and effective support for erosion control, stormwater management, and disaster response initiatives.
- Install and maintain erosion control BMPs such as fiber rolls, gravel bags, jute netting, silt fencing, check dams, and storm drain protection.
- Perform site services to reduce track‑out, sediment transport, and soil movement.
- Support wildfire recovery and disaster response through BMP deployment and maintenance.
- Complete daily field reports and photo documentation using mobile survey tools.
- Assist with hydroseeding, slope stabilization, and vegetation management.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to Job Hazard Analyses and Wildfire Risk Assessments.
- Collaborate with field crews and project managers to ensure timely, compliant BMP execution.

This full‑time position is centered in Concord, CA, and may require overtime and travel to remote locations, with lodging and travel costs reimbursed. Fieldwork occurs in diverse weather and terrain conditions.

- Prior experience in construction, environmental services, stormwater compliance, barbed‑wire fencing, hydroseeding, irrigation, and use of a walk‑behind trencher is preferred.
