  • Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Monitor the process for invoice production (by others) and track invoices through RK&K development and client review, approval, and payment
  • Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related activities
  • Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
  • Direct project staff and sub-consultants
  • Collect and review subcontractor invoices for inclusion in RK&K invoices (by others)
  • Direct staff as needed to complete progress reports for inclusion in RK&K invoices
  • Assist design team with preparation of funding applications for capital improvement projects
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, government agencies, and project staff
  • Serve as liaison between client and firm
  • Manage construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, change orders, site visits and coordination with inspection personnel)

  • Ability to work independently and in groups and to demonstrate good problem-solving skills is a must
  • Experience with document management related to legal contracts, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of legal contracts
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in managing confidential or sensitive information
  • Have a good understanding of utility construction
  • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience working with various public lenders such as the Drinking and Clean Water State Revolving Fund, Community Development Block Grant, EPA, USDA Rural Utilities, Etc.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to keep multiple activities organized digitally, and willing to work collaboratively with others
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in Contract support and/or permitting compliance
