- Exhibit leadership and management capabilities, ensuring successful team collaboration and project execution.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to validate design implementation and address on-site challenges as they arise.
- Design systems that are code-compliant, contract-compliant, and cost-effective by thoroughly reviewing scopes of work, project specifications, drawings, and legal contracts to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Help resolve workflow issues, and address project bottlenecks.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
- Take personal ownership of the work produced.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Low-Voltage department and the company. Provide feedback on improving processes, standards, and methodologies to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
- Lead the design of low-voltage systems (i.e., Voice/Data Cable Infrastructure, CATV, Security, Access Controls, Telecommunication and Wireless systems, and other specialty Low-Voltage systems).
- Serve as a technical resource throughout all project phases – providing expert guidance during bidding, design development, permitting, and construction to ensure seamless execution and alignment with project goals.
- Mentor and provide strategic guidance to junior and mid-level team members, fostering their technical growth and professional development. Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and leadership opportunities across the team.

- Proven ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources, with a focus on achieving client satisfaction and high-quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office , Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other design-related software.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Certification in one of the following areas:
- Proven leadership experience managing complex, large-scale projects, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
- InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D)
- ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, with occasional bending and the capacity to lift up to 10 lbs. as needed.
- NICET fire alarm level 3 or 4
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
- Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.
- Completion of vocational school, military technical training, college degree, or equivalent field experience in low-voltage design, with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage system design preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for project meetings, site visits, or client engagements.
- Extensive proven relevant technical, leadership, and field experience.
