Independently completes services and repair tasks ranging from basic to moderately complex with minimal supervision.
Utilizes all technical support resources (including but not limited to: operators, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) in determining procedures and identifying parts.
Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft office
Drive motor vehicles
Advises supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship.
Performs Unit Condition inspections and Reports (UCR's).
As needed, provide basic tools per the Altec tool policy
Maintains work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
Performs all task in a manner fully consistent with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
Provides accurate and sufficient information on all required documents.

Three years of Altec Manufacturing experience or equivalent Service experience; OR two years as a Technician I and completion of appropriate Academy.
Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with a focus on heavy equipment
Education in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems
Satisfactory completion of all required/assigned training.
Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
Provides basic troubleshooting requiring a high level of knowledge and experience.
Ability to support customer by working overtime
Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers or tractors; or military heavy equipment such as the MRAP vehicle, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
A high level of dexterity
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
