Principal Mechanical Engineer

Description

• Managing the governance of mechanical engineering standards across ASEAN projects
• Ensure all OEM equipment and engineering quality meets the Mechanical Engineering standards and support local team in compliance of local regulations
• Mechanical equipment strategy and standardization across the ASEAN Region to improve scalability and optimization of resources.
• Contribute to design process, project engineering management and commissioning process from mechanical perspective.

Requirements

• Demonstrated effective change leadership across a global, multicultural functional organization.
• End-to-end talent management of Mechanical Engineering skill pool.
• Desirable Experience in Mechanical equipment design & manufacturing for Cold Rolling Mills, Strip Processing Line / Color Paint Line/ Furnaces.
• Effective facilitator and coach.
• Proven Experience in Mechanical Equipment Design and Manufacturing with a capability to design, analyse and implement strategic upgrades for heavy Metal industry.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills on technical and non-technical topics, to audiences across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge on Mechanical Design standards, Design software’s such as AutoCAD, 3D designs, FEA,etc.. and Awareness on international standards.
• Proven Experience on Erection and commissioning of Heavy mechanical equipment’s.
• Proven Experience in understanding of implementation of mechanical design concept in Machine Design, Hydraulics system, Bearing applications and selection, , Material selection and application, Gear Box and Transmission systems, etc..
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+years professional experience.
• Proven Experience on Capital projects Front end loading and project execution phases.
• Proficiency in English.
• Resource management including capability uplift in Country
