DPR Construction delivers high-performance construction services across various sectors.
In this role you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors. You will manage projects from the initial estimate through the formalization of subcontracts, asking the right questions to deliver comprehensive cost evaluations. You must provide innovative solutions to complex issues related to cost, lead times, trade partners, and specified products or materials.
You will prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and studies from schematic or feasibility documentation, and as design evolves, develop variance summaries and value‑engineering studies. You will assemble presentation‑worthy estimate packages that clearly communicate project cost and collaborate with the project team to establish necessary unit‑cost knowledge.
You will create detailed bid instructions, trade‑specific clarifications, and comprehensive bid packages, solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals, and use bid tally sheets to make award recommendations. You will lead negotiations and finalization of subcontracts and be familiar with reviewing construction contracts to identify key insurance and damages clauses.
You will frequently lead the preparation and presentation of cost and budget information to owners, participate in request‑for‑proposal responses, and engage new and existing customers. You will also facilitate value‑engineering sessions with project and design teams.
