

Develops, redevelops, acquires, and manages high-quality apartment communities in the U.S.
The Portfolio Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance operations for three to six communities, supervising staff, managing the annual operating budget, and handling recruitment, performance evaluation and day‑to‑day maintenance activities. The manager also serves on the regional RS Executive team, working with centralized support functions and retail tenants to drive financial performance, operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
Candidates must have at least a high‑school diploma (GED) and preferably a bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of three years of multifamily property‑management experience and two years of supervisory experience. Experience managing 400+ units across multiple sites is preferred, and experience in retail, hotel/resort or commercial management is acceptable.
Required skills include strong organizational and multitasking abilities, knowledge of property‑management financials, fair‑housing and state regulations, and familiarity with OSHA standards and trade disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry. The manager must be able to coach and develop associates, troubleshoot technical issues, communicate clearly, analyze KPIs and profit‑and‑loss statements, and perform basic arithmetic and physical tasks required for maintenance work.
