Coordinates and oversees contractors when necessary.
Perform SCADA system programming.
Provide technical support for the maintenance, testing and setup of substation equipment such as relays, transformers, circuit breakers, capacitor banks, regulators, batteries, etc.
Provide technical support and make recommendations on operational technologies such as SCADA, Distribution Automation, AMI and other critical operation applications.
Make recommendations on system protection and reliability. Perform system coordination studies.
Assist and train line and operations personnel in substation procedures through regularly held safety sessions.
Will be required to participate in after-hours standby rotation periodically.
Participate in the overall planning, operation, maintenance and construction of substations.
