You will work on projects ranging from small rural sites to multi‑million‑pound schemes, covering both water and wastewater (Infrastructure and Non‑Infrastructure) and delivered under the CRU’s fourth regulatory control period (RC4) 2025‑2029. You’ll contribute to major frameworks such as the Uisce Éireann Growth & Development Programme and the Engineering Services Provider Framework, providing design services for treatment plants, networks and related infrastructure.
- Lead development and integration of all MEICA design elements from concept through detailed design, coordinating with civil and process engineering and meeting client, regulatory and operational specifications.
- Forecast technical knowledge and resource needs for bids, prepare proposals, scopes of work and fee estimates, and contribute strategic input on innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Monitor and manage project delivery to ensure scope, schedule, cost and quality compliance, adhering to company procedures, risk, financial management and AECOM core values.
- Promote and enforce health and safety compliance, ensuring staff are competent to perform duties safely.
- Build and lead geographically diverse MEICA teams, drive recruitment, line management and staff development initiatives in partnership with regional operational leads and the MEICA Technical Head.

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Be an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with a relevant professional institution.
- Possess extensive water and wastewater industry experience, including process safety knowledge.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multi‑disciplinary projects from proposal through design, construction support and client handover.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and represent AECOM effectively with clients.
