Design Development: Create ideas and refine designs for power distribution equipment, including switch devices, switchgear, and circuit breakers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance design processes and product offerings.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project updates for stakeholders.

Collaboration: Work closely with international cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure seamless project execution and integration.
Innovative Solutions: Identify and implement innovative design approaches and technologies to enhance product functionality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Sub-Project Management: Lead project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful completion of design initiatives and alignment with strategic objectives within the assigned tasks.
Technical Analysis: Conducting within the team simulations and analyses to evaluate design feasibility and performance, using software tools such as NX and Teamcenter and electrical simulation programs.
Prototyping and Testing: Direct the prototyping and testing phases, analyzing results to validate designs and make necessary adjustments to meet performance criteria.

Experience designing power distribution equipment, including switch devices, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for optimizing engineering designs.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., NX, Teamcenter).
Ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Experience leading teams, inspiring collaboration, and driving innovation.
Ability to be on-site at the Wendell, NC location a minimum of 3 days per week.
3+ years of experience in R&D and design roles, specifically in power distribution or electrical equipment.
Skilled in working on complex projects with cross-functional teams.
Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
