Assist less experienced personnel in the trouble shooting of problems at customer’s plants.
Maintain up to date customer files.
Assist the Fenestration Lab personnel in performing field testing of units.
Receive phone calls from customers and direct complaints to the appropriate internal department for resolution.
Assist in determining the best location for equipment.
Maintain & report status of customer start-up projects.
Follow-up on any open issues in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area at the home office and the customer’s facilities.
Analyze engineering drawings and create equipment takes-offs from drawings.
Analyze and critique fabrication prints provided by product engineering.
Prepare requests for quotation (RFQ’s) on equipment purchases.
Assist in training of less experienced Technical Service Representatives.
Work with customers to determine the functionality of each machine used in the fabrication of windows and its suitability for re-use when retooling a window fabrication line
Coordinate and mediate complaints about fabrication equipment & tooling between customers and equipment vendors.
Operate and demonstrate window fabrication equipment.
Build and verify new window products for evaluation.
Regular visits with largest customers to assist in day-to-day operations.
Performs regular follow-up until open problems reach conclusion.
Conduct on-site training for customers and their plant personnel.
Identify & purchase tools for re-tooling of equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline field from an accredited college or university required
Minimum of 5 years related experience in vinyl window manufacturing and machinery set-up and debugging required. A broad overview of vinyl window fabrication equipment manufacturers is a must. Understanding of the operation and limitations of equipment from various manufactures is necessary in the performance of the job. An understanding of double hung, single hung, horizontal slider, patio door, garden window, bow, bay, new construction, remodel and replacement window products is necessary. Additional experience in the transportation, installation and field service of window and door products is desirable.
