The Boiler Heat Exchange Lead is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance, repair, and installation of boiler systems and heat exchangers. As a working leader, the role guides a team of technicians while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.
The position involves overseeing welders, mechanics, and pipefitters, assigning daily tasks, and serving as the primary point of contact for the crew in the foreman's absence. It also requires effective communication with supervisors, contractors, and project managers to keep projects on schedule.
Work is performed in industrial and construction environments that may involve physical exertion, climbing, confined‑space entry, and exposure to high temperatures, loud noise, and heavy machinery, all while adhering to strict PPE and safety protocols.
Candidates must have 3–5 years of experience with boiler and heat exchanger systems, preferably in a senior technician or leadership capacity, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant technical certifications. Strong skills in reading blueprints, troubleshooting, and team collaboration are essential.
