- Works with Molding Scheduler to coordinate maintenance needs for department equipment (preventive and emergency maintenance)
- Continually develops skills and knowledge of direct reports to broaden skill levels
- Ensure that department is kept clean, safe, free of clutter and organized
- Minimizes material loss; troubleshoots production problems
- Supports all QC initiatives and oversees the testing and following of QC requirements
- Maximizes machine output by minimizing machine down time, ensuring the machines are staffed and running at optimal capacity
- Supervises/oversees all Molding Department Senior Leads on all shifts. Communicates and coordinates through Senior Leads. Directs all work activities of Molding and Recycle department personnel based on schedule/production needs. Maximizes man-hours worked; uses labor dollars most effectively
- Completes the CAR (corrective action) process as issues are identified that relate to Molding area and monitors that corrective actions are enforced
- Ensures all personnel in department are properly trained (and cross trained) in the safe operation and process of all equipment/machines; ensures all other safety training is performed and appropriate licenses are current
- Participates in cross-functional teams
- Conducts department meetings on a regular basis
- Supervises all molding and recycle production personnel on all shifts
- Works with Manager to create SOPs for product ‘recipes’ and develops work instructions and ‘On the Job Training’ for Mold department
- Ensures all paperwork is completed correctly by each employee
- Ensures machine operators and labor personnel have the tools necessary to complete an order
- Performs weekly and monthly inventory as requested
- Reviews all daily reports that are submitted, as well as internal issue reports, Maintscape and Block Track for accuracy and issues
- Acts as continuous improvement advocate by ensuring accuracy at the front end of an order/shift, providing tools and input throughout the shift, and capturing and analyzing the shift’s production data. Coordinates continuous improvement activities within molding department
- Participates in and/or manages SWPPP initiative (Storm water pollution prevention plan)
- Oversees employee performance reviews, including attendance. Works with Sr. Leads to assist in coaching and counseling for improved employee performance. Ensures that all policies and procedures are adhered to and assists with employee disciplinary action when necessary

- Must have experience establishing goals and priorities. Responsible for planning departmental work schedule
- Knowledge of EPS products and customer requirements
- Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)

- Able to use tape measure and calipers
- 2-5 years supervisory experience preferred
- Valid drivers’ license (for customer and vendor visits)
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft and Atlas Data Bases)
- Ability to identify concepts and issues of a problem and applies sound judgment and reason to a solution
- Degree in related field or equivalent experience in EPS
- Supervisory skills including ability to train and give work direction to employees in incumbent’s group
