Produce design plans and specifications for urban and rural public/private roadways, which may include grading, erosion control, and stormwater management.
Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitation
Demonstrated knowledge of Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, and processes and procedures
Experience with the City of Omaha, Sarpy, and Douglas County, and/or other local agencies
Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard
Six (6) years of progressively responsible engineering experience
Engineer in Training (“E.I.T.” or “E.I.”) Designation
Registered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of Nebraska
Experience with roadway design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
Four (4) years of progressively responsible engineering experience
Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
