Provide fire protection and life safety design, analysis, construction support for industrial facilities.
Develop subcontractor scope of work packages based upon the fire hazard analysis and calculations.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Perform life safety reviews for buildings and industrial equipment areas.
Review fire barrier and penetration seal requirements for specific hazards.
Work productively and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Review subcontractor fire suppression and fire alarm system plans and calculations.
Award and manage subcontractors based upon the scope of work packages developed.
Generate calculations to size water supply, fire pumps, and underground pipe sizing.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure concepts and requirements are fully conveyed to the various team members and clients in a professional manner.

5 years minimum relevant experience in Fire protection and life safety design/analysis and construction support for industrial, power or similar type facilities. Individuals with more experience are encouraged to apply and will be evaluated accordingly.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related engineering field. EIT preferred.
Proficiency with the International Building Code and International Fire Code.
Travel is required (approximately 10% of the time) to meet with clients and/or job site personnel on an as-needed basis.
