Enable Design (formerly known as Equate Design) are specialists in high-quality, bespoke civil and electrical engineering design. Working closely with clients across multiple sectors, we leverage our teams’ deep expertise and experience to develop innovative solutions for projects both large and small.
Key responsibilities include producing Technical Queries (TQs) from design information, verifying that supplied materials meet design requirements, and performing setting‑out and daily survey datum checks on site. The engineer will draft Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) using the Dashpivot app, monitor the accuracy of ITP checks, manage site issues such as buried services, and compile material conformance evidence, including photographic records of expiry dates. Additionally, the role involves producing red‑line drawings for designers and ensuring CAD drawings reflect on‑site changes, with reporting to an Enable Engineer.
The Site Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in delivering civil projects safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards. The role requires proficiency with robotic total stations, line and level control, and the ability to travel throughout London and the South East as directed.
The ideal candidate has experience as a Site Engineer or setting‑out engineer on rail and power civil projects and is familiar with Leica or other total‑station equipment. Required certifications include SMSTS/SSSTS training and a valid CSCS card.
