A global leader in power management, providing energy-efficient solutions for various industries.
You will technically lead small to medium sized projects and provide technical input to a Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager on larger initiatives, including leading sections of big projects. Responsibilities include planning engineering tasks, managing internal functions, and producing engineering management plans.
Engaging with customers to ensure solutions meet their expectations and communicating those expectations internally is a core duty. You will also plan and present engineering design gate reviews and collaborate with functions such as airworthiness and safety to meet project delivery milestones.
Management of technical risks and opportunities, as well as engineering change to maintain system integrity and traceability throughout the lifecycle, are required. You will support all areas of the product lifecycle and work closely with engineering leadership and programme management to ensure adequate resourcing and identify capability shortfalls.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys a broad spectrum of engineering topics or who aims to progress into engineering leadership or management. The position offers the opportunity to develop technical and managerial skills.
A degree in a relevant subject is required, though an HNC or apprenticeship with sufficient experience will be considered. Candidates must have at least five years of engineering experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self‑motivated and proactive. Experience with the engineering lifecycle, design reviews, technical report writing, and presenting technical content at all levels is essential; prior engineering sign‑off and schedule generation experience are advantageous.
The successful applicant will handle US ITAR‑controlled technology, goods, and information, and may be required to undergo additional security screening as a condition of employment.
