- Handles all documentation, inspection, and preventative maintenance.
- Drives vehicles and/or trucks in performance of general job.
- Sets up barricades and places safety lights around work site to protect workers from street traffic.
- Guide pipe sections, valves and fittings into position and holds holds pieces steady while worker tightens connections.
- Operation of valves and fire hydrants.
- Flaring and connecting copper and plastic piping.
- Investigates complaints and determines corrective action per Company procedure.
- Accept responsibility for the volume and accuracy of work.
- Tapping into pressurized water mains.
- Direct the activities of any personnel assigned.
- Installation of repair clamp on pressurized water mains and service lines.
- Measure, cut or otherwise work on materials or objects with great precision.
- Operating of pneumatic and/or hydraulic boring equipment.
- Breaks up asphalt and concrete, using pneumatic power tools for trenching and compaction.
- Manual digging of valve boxes and curb boxes using shovel and digging bar.
- Use arithmetic or shop geometry to figure amounts of material needed, dimensions to be followed and cost of material.
- Skillfully use hand tools or machines needed for your work.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to: Read and understand instructions, safety rules, maps, diagrams, etc. Write reports in proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech. Nimble learning
- Pass Department of Transportation's physical examination.
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Work outdoor with no effective protection from the weather.
- Three years in construction- plumbing or building trades
- A valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Noise and Vibration: Sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent, to cause marked distraction.
- Completes all necessary forms, sketches and field notes and be knowledgeable of usage of maps and records.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Humid: Atmospheric conditions with moisture content sufficiently high to cause marked bodily discomfort.
- Wet and Humid: Wet: Contact with water or other liquids.
- This position will require a DOT physical.
- Exposure to: Odors, toxic conditions, chemical dusts or dusts or poor ventilation. Ability to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces.
