We are looking for expertise in urban and/or rural environments, property, communities and stakeholders, and a proven industry reputation in working on infrastructure development schemes with multi‑disciplinary teams. Experience negotiating commercial terms with landowners, knowledge of the legal process for acquiring wayleaves and easements, and a track record of reducing land risk for clients are essential. You should have demonstrable experience developing orders, acquiring consents and interests in land, strong influencing and negotiating skills, and the ability to work under pressure while delivering high‑quality outputs. A degree in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture or similar is required; chartership or professional membership is desirable.
What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.
Joining WSP, you will have access to our Land Academy, designed and delivered by our expert Land team to provide industry‑leading training, CPD and support for chartership. A network of experts will guide you in managing your own projects, client advisory, line management, presentation, training and leadership skills. We will help you hone and develop your abilities to deliver the most exciting projects in the UK, making a real difference to the nation’s infrastructure legacy. The role can be based in any of WSP’s UK or Ireland offices, with flexible hybrid working between the office and home, and it includes travel across the UK, Ireland and occasional visits to our Global Capability Centre in India.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? At WSP we understand that work is just one aspect of your life, so we offer work‑life balance, hybrid working, and a range of wellbeing programmes.
Our hybrid policy lets you work from home two days a week and collaborate in modern offices. The “WSP My Hour” allows you to take one hour each day for personal activities, and we provide part‑time, flexible, and additional leave options.
Through our Thrive programme you receive tools for health and wellbeing, a Virtual GP service, reasonable workplace adjustments, Gymflex discounts, and a comprehensive menopause support package.
We invest in your growth through training, mentoring, and support for chartership, fostering a supportive environment for professional development.
