Communications Manager

MAWD is seeking a Communications Manager to join our growing team, supporting the Head of Business Development and Marketing in the execution of a comprehensive, integrated communications strategy. In this role, you will exectute the day-to-day coordination and implementation of public relations and social media initiatives, including being the key point of contact for press and media relations, dissemination of news releases, coordination of expert commentary, and keeping leadership informed on industry trends and stories.

• Work with Head of Business Development and Marketing to develop strategic communications strategy in support of the amplification of projects and initiative and maintain firm portfolio up to date.
• Coordinate project press with clients and relevant stakeholders in alignment with Head of Business Development and Marketing.
• Maintain and develop regular media contact with target press to keep MAWD front of mind.
• Develop measurable, realistic KPIs in regards to specific media campaigns for the PR function.
• Managing and optimizing social media accounts according to desired engagement targets.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of public relations strategy execution, a strong list of design / real estate media contacts, excellent writing skills, and direct experience in the built environment.

• Experience with InDesign
• Experience identifying target audiences and implementing thought leadership campaigns
• Experience with project management and integrated communications planning
• Ability to work well to deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
