What you would be doing

- Participation in ESG activities such as sustainability initiatives, biodiversity committee, STEPS to Engineering, Women in Engineering initiative
- Ensuring all designs comply with all applicable Health and Safety standards and regulations
- Development of Preliminary and Detailed Design reports, calculations and drawings
- Design from conceptual phase through to project completion
- Ensuring all designs are completed in accordance with the relevant standards and specifications
- Work within a design team including Mechanical, Civil, E&I, CP and drafting team members
- Producing design drawings, mechanical plant selection and technical specifications
- Undertaking site visits to carry out site surveys and the support of liaisons with clients, contractors & suppliers
- Preparing design of mechanical installations typically including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants.
- Attending progress meetings with our Water design team, clients, contractors & suppliers
- Producing hydraulic calculations for gravity and pumped systems including pumping system analysis / pump selection.
- Producing plant layouts (2D & 3D), technical specifications, Wimes datasheets, equipment schedules and P&IDs

- Good academic record
- Engineering degree (Honours bachelor’s degree or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar discipline relevant to the specification above
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
- Full clean driving license and own transport required
- Professional Certifications, pathways to become a Chartered Engineer
- Familiar with AutoCAD 'Plant 3D' modelling
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential
- 3+ years post-graduate experience
