Perform maintenance and repairs to auxiliary systems which directly support the operation of the facility and within the distribution network
Participate in mandatory training and other programs
Perform, install, inspect, overhaul, and maintain various plant equipment including engine generators, pumps, valves, piping, traps, boilers, and chillers as necessary to meet plant operational needs
Prepare technical data and equipment observation reports necessary for proper diagnostic work and machinery history records
Observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practices and perform work in accordance with recognized trade and company standards and, where applicable, local, state, and federal laws
Organize and submit information to supervisors as needed to order parts and materials required in the general performance of job assignments
Determine and obtain the parts and supplies from stock as required in order to perform repairs, maintenance, and overhaul work; prepare stockroom requisitions as required
Maintain work areas and shop facilities in a clean, orderly, and safe conditions

Three (3) years of experience as a mechanic or similar role in a Central Heating Plant (CHP) or similar environment
Proficient with precision measuring devices like dial calipers, micrometers, gauges and other instruments)
Possess or has the desire to achieve Massachusetts Forklift (1C), Hoisting (3A) licenses or Welding Certification
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
