Candidates must bring their own hand tools and a reliable vehicle, wear CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots with ankle support, and successfully complete pre‑employment steps such as drug and alcohol testing, orientation, and a fitness‑to‑work assessment.
The ideal technician holds a Red‑Seal Heavy Equipment Technician journeyperson certification, possesses five to ten years of experience—particularly with off‑road equipment, CAT ET/SIS, or Komatsu systems—and can read hydraulic and electronic schematics, maintain exceptional organization, and uphold the company’s safety culture while performing maintenance, inspections, and overhauls.
- Air exchange units and specialty dealer training with certification.
- Complete pre‑employment drug/alcohol test, company and site orientation, and fitness‑to‑work assessment.
- Hold Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician journeyperson (Off‑Road) certification; 5‑10 years’ experience.
- Experience with off‑road heavy equipment, CAT ET/SIS and/or Komatsu; CAT scraper experience beneficial.
Benefits
The position is full‑time, permanent, with a day‑shift schedule of ten or more hours per day, five days on and two days off, and overtime after eight hours per day or 44 hours per week. The work will be performed at the 38‑bay state‑of‑the‑art shop located at 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB.
