The role is an on‑site project leader responsible for planning, executing, and completing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects while ensuring client satisfaction. The leader delegates tasks, coordinates subcontractors, and manages communication throughout all project phases.
Key duties include meeting clients to define requirements, producing pre‑construction documentation, managing a portfolio of approved M&E contractors, and overseeing cost procurement and budgeting. The role also ensures compliance with health, safety and fire regulations, verifies certifications, provides technical support across departments, and delivers detailed progress reports and analysis.
- Lead on‑site M&E projects from planning through successful completion, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Delegate tasks and coordinate subcontractors to meet time‑ and budget‑constraints.
- Meet with clients to define requirements and produce pre‑construction documents, schedules, specifications, and drawings.
- Manage a portfolio of approved M&E contractors, overseeing collaboration and timeline adherence.
- Conduct cost procurement, analysis, budgeting, and select appropriate pricing strategies (fixed price, T&M, GMP, etc.).
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, internal teams, and specialized consultants.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire regulations, company policies and verify all certifications and documentation.
- Oversee installation of M&E services, monitor site practices, and report non‑compliance.
- Prepare progress reports, conduct project analysis, and manage change orders and scope adjustments.
- Lead pre‑job meetings, distribute agendas, and circulate minutes to align team objectives.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least eight years of experience in construction, design, and cost management as an Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager. Required knowledge includes HVAC systems, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite and estimation software, and experience handling large commercial or industrial projects valued at N10 million or more.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years experience in construction, design, and cost management as an Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and experience with large commercial/industrial projects ≥ N10 million.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite and estimation software (Accubid, MEP).
- Strong skills in site surveying, project sequencing, materials practices, and electrical systems.
