In this role you’ll keep automation projects moving by supporting data‑center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical and control checks, leading startup and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems, and partnering with engineers to test, troubleshoot and validate their systems. You’ll communicate clear updates to customers and project teams, follow rotating travel schedules (e.g., 5‑on/2‑off, 10‑on/4‑off, or 14‑on/7‑off), and gain real‑world experience with large companies while the ProAutomated team backs you.
For those who’d rather be on the move than behind a desk, we’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline now for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that actually knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems, this could be a perfect fit.
We believe in transparency. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals for field work, and success requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. If you’re new to these areas, the role may not yet be the right fit.
Why you’ll love working with us: You’ll combine work and travel, experiencing new cities, tackling unique projects, and earning travel rewards while serving customers across North America with no office to report to. Compensation starts at $60,000–$75,000 plus per‑diem, mileage, utilization and weekend bonuses, and we invest in growth through merit raises and a guaranteed 5 % salary increase after six months. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, a matching 401(k), disability options, paid vacation and flexible time off after 18 months, all within a people‑first culture where leaders have risen from the ranks.
