- Conduct field density tests using a nuclear gauge or sand cone to verify compaction of soil and aggregate base materials.
- Prepare daily field reports summarizing testing, results, site observations, and deviations from project specifications. Communicate non-conformance issues or failing test results to project managers, contractors, or engineers promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times on-site.
- Conduct proofrolling and subgrade evaluations.
- Perform construction materials testing and inspection that includes, but not limited to: Soils sampling and testing, concrete sampling and testing, masonry sampling and testing, asphalt placement testing, reinforcing steel inspection.

- Nuclear Soil Density Testing experience
- Minimum 1 year experience within this field.
- Additional certifications in asphalt are desired/preferred
- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and accurately prepare field reports in accordance with Atlas’s report standards and applicable codes.
- Able to communicate in English.
- Able to understand construction drawings
- High School Diploma.
- Good organizational skills, positive attitude, and good work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license and clean record. Ability to drive a company truck within guidelines and pass drug testing, MVR and background checks.
- Basic computer skills of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout Florida & work at night, as needed.
- ACI Concrete Sampling Technician I certification.
- Able to understand construction drawings. Previous construction experience is a plus.
