Electrical Engineer

Description

• Telecom network infrastructure installation including ducts, cables, and related equipment
• Review and analyze daily and weekly reports covering workforce, site activity, equipment, and key events
• Act as the primary interface between the client team and contractors on electrical issues
• Development and redevelopment of industrial zones and service facilities
• Manage the preparation, review, and maintenance of technical and site management reports, including:
• Mentor junior engineers and site staff, promoting best practices and technical development
• Provide clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders, maintaining Egis’s consultancy standards.
• CCTV and security surveillance systems installation, integration, and testing
• Lead the supervision of electrical systems on-site for various infrastructure, industrial, and utility projects, including:
• Review project schedules (baseline, revised, and accelerated) and monitor progress
• Monthly quality control reports and status tracking of inspections and deviations
• Support the preparation of:
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure seamless integration of electrical works with civil and mechanical systems.
• Medium, Low Voltage (MV & LV) and Street Lighting installation and commissioning
• RFI logs, change order evaluations, claim reviews, and work suspensions
• Inspection logs (FIRs, MIRs, MRIs) and material submittal and Shop Drawing reviews
• Coordinate with planning and project control teams to identify and address performance issues
• Installation of utility networks such as electrical distribution and SCADA systems
• Grounding and lightning protection systems installation and testing
• Ensure full compliance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and applicable electrical codes.

Requirements

• Regional or international project exposure is considered a plus
• Effective leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• As-built drawings and O & M Manual review
• Prior experience working in the public sector or Villa and High raise building projects is a strong advantage
• Extensive knowledge of international and local codes, including IEC, NEC, SBC, SEC etc.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with:
• Electrical power distribution, lighting systems, Emergency Lighting, Telecom system, BMS system, BGM system, Intercom, Access Control system, ICT system and fire alarm (FA) systems within the building
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with a strong focus on site-based construction supervision in a consultancy environment
• Proven track record delivering electrical systems for infrastructure, and Building service-related projects
