The candidate should have over seven years of experience as a power systems engineer, including at least five recent years focused on earthing and bonding design. A tertiary qualification in electrical or power engineering is required, along with strong written and spoken communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience in a design‑consultancy environment and a demonstrated ability to lead design teams and deliver earthing and power system solutions are essential.
The role demands expertise in AC and DC railway earthing, bonding, and electro‑lysis design, as well as familiarity with traction power‑system modelling tools. Proficiency with CDEGS for earthing and induction modelling, ETAP or equivalent power‑system software, and the ability to develop studies in ATP/PSCAD/EMTP is required. Experience creating EMC studies, management plans, maintenance strategies, commissioning plans, and related documentation is also needed.
