The Workplace Duty Engineer role focuses on achieving excellence in preventive maintenance programs, providing comprehensive facility, contract and procurement management for technical services, and meeting key performance indicators and service level agreement targets.
Financial management includes controlling critical spares, coordinating quarterly repair and maintenance requirements, and overseeing purchase orders through to invoice submission. Operations management covers daily inspection and upkeep of all electrical, HVAC, PAC, water, plumbing, sanitary, elevator, and cafeteria systems, liaison with vendors to ensure maintenance follows manufacturer recommendations, adherence to a 52‑week M&E maintenance schedule, health and safety compliance, and usage of facility tools for work‑order tracking. Records and estate management involve maintaining detailed logs, service and incident reports, conducting audits, inspecting critical plant areas, and coordinating with builders. Reporting management requires preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly engineering, compliance and performance reports.
The role requires a graduate degree with relevant work experience, very good people skills, the ability to interact with a wide range of client staff, proven effectiveness as part of a team, and a track record of initiating and following through on improvement initiatives.
