Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a robust procurement strategy that maximizes in‑stock performance, cultivating strategic vendor relationships, and creating new KPIs to meet business requirements. The director interfaces with other departments to support company initiatives and aligns the supply‑chain team’s goals, processes, measurements, and standards with the company’s primary focus areas, while also handling additional project work as assigned.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, at least five years of management experience in engineering or procurement, and proven leadership of supply‑chain or engineering teams. Candidates must have a strong understanding of MRP principles, advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills, excellent communication for supplier negotiations, solid organizational and project‑management abilities, and strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capabilities.
